Rosa Flores, MD has been appointed Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Dr. Flores was nominated by fellow physicians. Under her leadership, the department will continue to enhance its mission to provide exceptional patient care for female patients.
She is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Flores completed her residency at Albany Medical College and earned her medical degree at Central del Caribe School of Medicine. She is a Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of Society of ObGyn Hospitalist, a member of the American Medical Association, and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (Honor Medical Society) since 2000 when she was elected as a medical student.
Dr. Flores joined Women’s Care in 2017 as part of the Women’s Health Hospitalist program. Hospitalists are key members of the Women’s Care health team. They serve as an extension of Women’s Care providers to assure the highest quality of patient care. Women’s Health Hospitalists are in direct contact with patients’ Ob/Gyn to ensure that any individual health issues are seamlessly communicated between your care team.

Dr. Flores is the first hospitalist to be named Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Hospitalists are physicians who exclusively focus their practice on providing care at affiliated hospitals.
